The situation escalated when intervened, leading to an FIR being registered against 350 protesting candidates. Candidates appearing for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 70th Prelims Examination have raised serious allegations of irregularities in the exam process. Many aspirants claim that:

The agitation took place between Income Tax Golambar and Lohia Chakrapath, where candidates reportedly blocked roads, creating massive traffic congestion. The protest later moved to Veerchand Patel Path, further intensifying the disruption.

The Patna police have taken strict legal action against the protestors, filing an FIR against 350 candidates for allegedly:

As per reports, 42 candidates were detained at Kotwali Police Station, out of which:

  • 37 candidates are from outside Patna district.
  • 5 candidates belong to Patna.

The Patna District Administration condemned the protest, stating that it caused significant inconvenience to commuters on Bailey Road, leading to long traffic jams. Officials also alleged that protestors resorted to physical altercations with personnel, further escalating the situation.
